For Colored Girls

I don't know about you, but I like movies like this.

I thought it was a great movie.  Directed by Tyler Perry of course.  Very captivating performances by some of the actresses (can't say much about Janet Jackson).  This film takes you through an emotional roller coaster, and in some ways it's very depressing.  Love the poetry.  The movie is based on Ntozake Shange's play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf."

SUMMARY: Each of the women portray one of the characters represented in the collection of twenty poems, revealing different issues that impact women in general and women of color in particular.

Small Pleasures

I haven't bitten my nails since I took off my acrylics!  * Pats myself on back*

 Nail polish and keeping my nails nice & trimmed have helped me to stop biting them. 

I just have to keep this up. 

I bought some nail art supplies at the swapmeet on Saturday.

Tyler Perry

I've been really getting into Tyler Perry films.  

I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!!!!  My Netflix queue has all his films lined up.  

So far I watched:

(i accidentally rented the play, but I plan to rent the movie too)

 The reason why I love his movies so much is because he uses real life situations, struggles, and Christian themes of forgiveness, dignity and self-worth, plus I love black comedy.  He has a lot of soul in his films which I LOVE.  It comes from the heart.  Tyler Perry is brilliant!  I'm a huge fan!
