Have you developed allergies?

I don't know when I first developed allergies, but I'm guessing it was some time in high school.  For those of you who don't suffer from nasal allergies, YOU ARE TRULY BLESSED!!
I have allergies 365 days a year in cold weather & hot weather.  Every single day, some days better than others.

This blog entry is dedicated to the ones who suffer from nasal allergies on a daily basis or for those who think they have allergies, but are not sure.
If you have been having pain lately around your sinus area that feels like headache form, there is a chance you are suffering from allergies that cause nasal congestion that leads to sinus headaches.

I have these headaches almost daily if I don't take my medicine or in my case today...ran out.

What medicine is best for allergies??

For me personally, Claritin is too weak and Benadryl knocks me out.  The only medicine that works is Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10mg Tablets.  I started off with Zyrtec when it first came out and it worked better than anything I tried.  In the beginning, it made me drowsy, but my body is used to it now.  So if you are planning on trying Zyrtec (Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10mg Tablets), please read the tips below.

TIPS:

-Take it at night before you sleep.  I tend to have allergies in the morning, so taking it before you sleep will prevent them.  It's harder for your allergy symptoms to be relieved after your allergy attack has already started.  If you take it before you sleep, you won't feel drowsy the next day.

-Consider generic.  I started buying generic because regular Zyrtec is really expensive.  I've tried Kroger and CVS generic brands and they work fine.  Now I'm going to try the Kirkland generic brand because of the cost.  Taking 1 pill everyday for 365 days = pricey!

Hope this helps!
