Experiments

Lately, I've been stumbling upon so many new interesting blogs and websites.  My favorites would pertain to art/photography/baking/makeup.

Other than that, I've been just stuck on trying to find furniture solutions for my place.  This has been going through my mind for weeks now.  Can't you tell by my recent posts? lol.  I have a dining table and kitchen tools, but I still need to set up my living space with a sofa, coffee table, book shelf, and TV stand.  I'm on a search for a sofa preferably $150 or under.  I found 2 places in Whittier that are selling microfiber mini futon sofas for $99.  Hopefully I can get over there and check it out soon.  Then I will get to the smaller details of hanging stuff on my empty walls.  Empty walls = blank canvas.  It can get very interesting.  I also need to purchase a vacuum.  Unfortunately, I'm stuck with cheap carpet.  You know the kind that doesn't feel soft.

Okay on to the next topic...
I have a list of things I always wanted to do and I've started these series of experiments with purchasing soap making supplies.  They should be arriving this Friday via UPS.  I'm super excited.

Here are list of things I've always wanted to do:
  • make soap
  • make candles
  • learn how to knit
  • learn how to use a sewing machine
  • bake a beautiful professional looking cake from scratch
  • bake spectacular looking cupcakes from scratch
  • make cake pops
  • bake a cheesecake
  • become an awesome cook and earn the name "mama jina's kitchen"
  • take more photos and blow them up, frame, hang on wall
  • learn manual settings for my camera and know it like the back of my hand so I can move forward and purchase a dslr
  • get adobe photoshop software
  • buy a new computer
  • fly a kite
  • learn how to do cute designs on my nails
  • get super toned and work out consistently (been so effin lazy. i haven't worked out for over 1 1/2 months)  I need to print Jessica Biel's pics and put them up on my walls
  • Start eating healthy again and cut out access fat consumption
  • Stop being too anal about apartment
  • Create mosaic pots
  • Learn how to decoupage
  • Make my own jewelry
  • paint a picture
I know there are many more things I would like to do, but I'm not going to overwhelm myself.  I'll do them one at a time.  Hopefully, after I try all these things out,  I will know which activities I would like to keep as a hobby.  Not a lot of people have hobbies these days and shopping & drinking do not count as real hobbies in my opinion.  I know I can't keep them all because it can get pretty expensive.  I mean, my soap supplies came to a grand total of $40 and that's after I deducted 3 items from my cart!  Yeah sooo wish me luck with my soap making journey.  I ordered a really cool soap mold that I liked, fragrance oils, soap base, and soap coloring! heeheeee i'll post pics later!  Happy hump day~
